About Us

Dr. Carol Lohmueller

Carol (Lecher) Lohmueller, OD is a native of Greensburg. In 1994 upon graduation from the Indiana University School of Optometry, she joined the practice of Drs. Childress, Weimer and Weigel. After 27 years of practice in Greensburg, she purchased the practice of John Wade, OD in October of 2021. The practice has grown tremendously since that time! It has expanded into the entire building and has been upgraded to many of the most advanced diagnostic technologies available. Additional improvement is ongoing, with continuous staff training and continuing education for the doctors.

Dr. Lohmueller enjoys the opportunity to care for patients of all ages and abilities, managing vision needs and ocular health problems. Contact lens fitting and management, spectacle prescribing, treatment of glaucoma, ocular infections, inflammation, foreign body removal and monitoring retinal health are some of the services she provides. She also handles post-op visits for cataract, laser and glaucoma surgeons.

Dr. Lohmueller is married to David and they have two children, a mischievous cat and two guinea pigs. They spend lots of time at soccer games, basketball games and other school activities at Oldenburg Academy.

Dr. Ashton Akridge
